Buckwheat diet

Buckwheat for a mono-diet

To begin with, it is worth noting that proper nutrition and diet are completely different concepts. If you can sit on one at least all your life, remaining slim and healthy, then the second, if used incorrectly, will hit both your condition and your figure (due to the so-called supercompensation of weight, which inevitably occurs after any rapid weight loss). Any doctor will confirm that it is worth turning to diets only for medical reasons, for example, before surgery or during treatment. If these arguments do not convince you and you really want to be the star of the New Year's celebration, read on.

The buckwheat diet for weight loss is one of the many mono-food systems that do not require limiting the size of portions consumed, but provide for eating only one, maximum two dishes. The effectiveness and safety of the method has not been clinically confirmed, so many nutritionists, doctors and athletes dispute its benefits for the body. However, the system also has enough fans. The diet works solely due to the low calorie content of cereals. Some diet fans even argue that if you dilute buckwheat with kefir, you can safely refuse other products.

Power scheme

The essence of such a diet is extremely simple: for one or two weeks, but not longer, for all meals, including snacks, - specially prepared buckwheat mass. Groats must be thoroughly washed and "steamed", that is, poured with boiling water and left for five to six hours. As a rule, buckwheat is prepared in the evening. The resulting mass is consumed in small portions in about five or six doses. It is impossible to cook, add sugar, salt and other flavor enhancers. But water and green tea - in unlimited quantities, as well as kefir with a low percentage of fat, but not more than a liter per day.

If you manage to eat one buckwheat for a whole week, from the second, experts strongly recommend diluting the meager menu with other products. It is already dangerous to continue such a diet for more than fourteen days, it is better to simply switch to proper nutrition and try to maintain the result.

A severe version of the diet provides for eating exclusively buckwheat with kefir or separately. But there is also a sparing regimen that allows you to consume some vegetables, fruits and milk. Such a diet is definitely healthier and more complete. Buckwheat diet for weight loss for 7 days looks something like this:

Advantages and disadvantages

By adding other products, fresh food with one product turns into more or less correct. Of the advantages of the method is a fairly rapid loss of kilograms due to the low calorie content of cereals and a relatively low health risk compared to other mono-diets. Buckwheat is still good for hair and nails, and is also full of nutrients and fiber, which helps to cleanse the intestines. Theoretically, there will be no physiological feeling of hunger, because the volume of buckwheat is unlimited. What can not be said about the psychological craving for something sweet, salty, or even at least some other product. After all, it only at first glance seems that 14 days is a small interval. When you allow yourself to eat one single product, time stretches endlessly! Plus one point: if your body has a muscle corset that you don’t want to lose, you should not resort to the buckwheat method, since the menu does not provide protein in the right amount to "feed the muscles", which means they can simply "burn out" and significantlydecrease in volume.

Who should not try

Buckwheat diet is definitely not suitable for women in position, during lactation, minors, as well as adults who have problems with the stomach, intestines or nervous system. The diagnoses of diabetes and hypertension are also included in the list of contraindications for this weight loss method. Of the side effects that the experimenter may experience, the most common are headache, weakness in the body, distraction and reduced performance. The reason for this is the lack of glucose and a number of substances necessary for the body due to poor nutrition.

It is worth leaving the diet very carefully, remembering that with a sharp return to the previous diet, supercompensation will inevitably occur, and the lost centimeters will return, taking with them a couple more. Therefore, we are returning to the usual menu smoothly, gradually introducing new steamed and oven-cooked dishes, as well as foods rich in protein. We remember sweet, fried, canned, starchy foods and other foods only on holidays.

Again, eating one food for an extended period and avoiding a variety of foods deprives the body of many of the nutrients it needs to function properly. Before reducing your menu to buckwheat and kefir, it is better to discuss the experiment with your doctor.

It’s simply impossible to work sitting on buckwheat alone: you always want to sleep and be sad, so on the third day I had to add fruits, vegetables and chickenIt became much easier, and the weight began to go away pretty quickly. Now I’m getting acquainted with PP, because I want to lose weight without falling asleep at the workplace. "
